The Moon is conjunct Jupiter in gemini as I write this from my bed watching the rain fall into the river. This conjunction is happening for the last time until 2036. We’re saying goodbye to Jupiter in gemini, to the last year of discombobulation, mutable growth, and Big Questions. This lunar cycle sees the end of Phase 2 of The Great Defrosting.
Saturn has already entered aries for it’s pilot episode as of Saturday. The weight that has been lifted from your pisces house has now been placed in your aries house and you’ll start learning to weight lift a whole new muscle group this summer. (If you want to get a feel of the muscle group you can look at Worldbuilding Thru the Houses as a guide.)
There was an aspect of existential crises we’ve been navigating with Saturn and Jupiter being square to each other in mutable signs (gemini and pisces). We’re getting a little 2 week break from that but once Jupiter enters cancer on June 9th, the existential tension resumes but this time it in cardinal signs (aries and cancer). Cardinal signs are environments where things begin, where initiations happen.
Saturn is being initiated into the medicine that only a planet in its fall (wound) can create. Jupiter is being initiated into the medicine that only a planet in its exaltation (dream) can create. Together they will create a high contrast creative tension that could initiate you into a new level of existential clarity, decision, and humility. This is the kind of tension worldbuilders are born of.
What happens when the dreamers become relentless? What happens when the worldbuilders wake up?
You’re not fucking up when the unconscious becomes conscious, you’re waking up. The world is not fucking up, its waking up. To see this requires neutrality. Neutrality isn’t indifference. If you reject neutrality because you think it means ambivalence then you reject your power, too. Because your power will always be bound by dogmas and binaries instead of being free to flow with life.
When we learn to be nonbinary, to embrace nonduality, to see through dogma into multiplicity, we create the space for the waters of life to flow. You get stuck when you try to circumvent the water into where you think it should go. If what you think is determined by perspectives of right/wrong, good/bad, should/shouldn’t then you’ll try to control the flow.
This leads to true chaos (being out of alignment with nature/energy) which is so much more painful than the appearance of chaos that you’re trying to avoid. That’s why cancer follows gemini.
Divination is the process of revealing how to be in energetic alignment with what you want and/or with what is already in motion. Divination can be so clarifying because you’re bringing consciousness into the conversation between you and material reality. That’s powerful because consciousness is the creator of material reality. You’re born into a replication of your parents consciousness, your environments consciousness, your culture’s consciousness, etc. This does not mean you have to continue it.
The decision to individuate, evolve, or develop that consciousness to align with who you truly are and what you deeply desire is one every dreamer must make if they want to be a worldbuilder.
On Monday, the night of the new moon in gemini, I found myself reading tarot for a small group of women. Most of their questions were originally framed as “will I/won’t I receive what I want from life.” I took the opportunity to talk about the mysterious mixture of fate and freewill that we live in. A good reader will answer your question, even if ambiguously. An excellent reader will help you reframe your existential context so you can ask questions with empowerment, understand the nature of reality, and move towards your truth.
Engaging a question that denies your personal power just feeds the illusion that you have none. Every time you ask “will I/won’t I” you’re admitting that you believe that your life is in hands other than yours. It’s true that it’s all Grace. And, every desire is an entryway into a journey, a transformative process that only you can choose to engage in.
Reframing “will I be a mother?” into “what might challenge and support me in committing to that dream?” creates a question that can read the field of possibility without putting the reader into the position of being an external authority on the matter. Then the answer becomes a living landscape rather than a projected image.
If you want to divine on your own future, observe your current internal state of consciousness/being (your perspective and sensations) and know that is creating your future external experience. The ability to divine on your future, with or without divinatory tools, is a result of being the spiritual authority of your own life. The more you are aware of your consciousness, the more accurately you can not only predict the future but create it.
These are all muscles you can build— if you’re not too afraid of looking like you’re playing God.
When you imagine yourself to be separate from God, you’re at the mercy of their whims. You live in a chaotic reality where you may or may not get attention and fulfilment from the Creator. Life is out of your hands and therefore you’re a victim to everything that happens, and helpless to change it. Ironically, in trying to create space for God to step in you leave no space for you to create your life.
When you imagine yourself to be one with God, you’re at the helm of the ship you were born to steer. You live in an elegantly designed reality where your attention is the source of your fulfillment because you are the Creator. Life is in your hands and therefore you’re at the mercy of nothing but Grace, empowered to change whatever it is that you can touch. Ironically, in claiming your life as a space for you to inhabit there emerges an infinity of room for God to step in and never leave.
I pray Jupiter in gemini showed you how to ask bigger, better, more expansive questions. I pray it brought you what a Love Exalted ritualist called my work— generative discombobulation. I pray you learned how to notice the interconnectedness of all things, especially how all the tiny little programs running your mind are also running your life. I pray you gained some skill in deprogramming yourself so you could dream from freedom, not fear.
I pray life opened up for you in ways that showed you that while you may not be in control, you are Player One in the Game of your Life.
Congratulations on completing Phase 2 of The Great Defrosting!
If you’re like WAIT, I need a moment to understand and integrate WTF just happened! you can purchase my teaching on Phase 2 here.
If you want to go even deeeeeper and understand how to practice faith beyond dogma, gamify your life, and use the Experimental Method to sublimate your tensions into desire, you can purchase the full Sublimate: Jupiter in gemini ritual here.
Both of these offerings will disappear forever on June 9th when Jupiter leaves gemini.
