Start everyday with gratitude. once you emerge out of your cocoon as a butterfly, it can be easy to take your new life for granted. while the result is magnificent, your time as a butterfly will be short. making gratitude a priority will ensure you savor every moment like the sweet, sweet nectar of a butterfly bush.
End everyday with reflection. you’ll be busy flitting, flirting, and flying around. you might lose track of all the amazing things you’re doing and that happened for you. take a moment to notice what the day felt like and how different your days are now that you’ve transformed.
Rest (a lot) in between. when you first come out of your cocoon, you instinctively rested to strengthen your wings. this is a habit you can maintain to restore your energy and lengthen your life. you’re not flying around proving yourself, you’re flying around to be yourself.
Consume everything lightly. too much of anything will weigh you down. to go greater distances, eat food and information that’s compatible with your new body. notice if you gravitate towards new ways of intaking and exerting, then don’t be afraid to try them. intake less than you think you should, output less than you are used to.
Surround yourself with beauty and sweetness. hang out around flowers and colors that make you feel ethereal. fill the air with scents and sounds that elevate you. gather bowls of fruit for your viewing pleasure, even if you don’t eat them all. let your glances towards beautiful people, places, and things linger. this is your purpose.
Be forgetful about the past. with your short life span, there is only the present moment. the now moment. this moment. respect it by pretending there is no future and by letting go of what was. you’ll never be an egg, a caterpillar, or a cocoon again. that might sound sad and you may be tempted to get nostalgic, but isn’t it amazing that the transformation gave you wings? use them to move forward.
Become agenda-less. you’re a butterfly. you don’t need an agenda. you just fly around doing whatever the hell you want. before you perish you’ll leave a legacy, but it’s nothing to concern yourself with now. the more you can drop agenda, the more you can be open to the unexpected possibilities your life as a butterfly offers you.
Remember: you’re free.

I read this right before falling asleep and had a dream about drinking expensive vintage wine from Italy that someone had been keeping in a cellar for decades, it was the first time I've vividly tasted something while dreaming that I've never had in real life. Thank you so much for sharing this.
